Public transport has been badly affected due to the increase in oil prices. To solve this problem, Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh has decided to lift the ban on the ability to carry passengers in all buses including mini buses. The Chief Minister also made it clear that it would be mandatory to wear masks for each ride during the journey in buses. The same was done by the Chief Minister on Saturday while answering a question regarding the problem of movement of the people due to non-movement of buses by a resident of Hariau Khurd. The state government had earlier given permission to run buses with a capacity of 50% passengers due to the Covid crisis.

The Chief Minister said on Facebook Live as a sequel to the program titled 'Question to the Captain' that he has come to know that it is possible to run buses with fixed capacity due to the daily losses of diesel and petrol due to financial losses. He said that because of this, passengers are facing many problems.

He stressed the need to strictly follow the wearing of masks during the journey, because the spread of Covid from the mask can be reduced up to 70%. On the issue of increasing petrol and diesel prices, the Chief Minister said that the Congress Working Committee has already passed the proposal in this regard and they are hopeful that the Central Government will withdraw this increase.
