On inquiry, information about the candle march was received under the leadership of Aziz Qureshi, former Governor of Mizoram and Uttarakhand. Giving information about the former governor being Section-144 in the area, he refused to take out the procession. On non-acceptance, a case has been registered against eight people, including Jalil, Mahfooz, Salman Mansoori, Wali Mohammed, Rehanuma Khan, Priyanka Mishra, and Sunil Lodhi, and 40 unidentified people with the former governor.

Identification is being done by photos and videos, soon others will also be arrested.
