Dehradun: Uttarakhand cabinet minister Chandan Ram Das has passed away. After reaching Bageshwar from Almora, his health suddenly deteriorated, after that, he was admitted to the district hospital of Bageshwar, where he died. He was also running ill for a long time. A 3-day state mourning has been declared in Uttarakhand on the demise of the cabinet minister.

Along with this, the tricolor will remain half-tilted in all government offices in the state. As per the government order, the minister will be cremated with police honours. All government offices will remain closed in the district where his funeral will take place. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has condoled the demise of his cabinet colleague.

He tweeted, "Shocked by the news of the sudden demise of my senior colleague in the cabinet, Mr. Chandan Ram Das. His death is an irreparable loss in the field of public service and politics.
