Researchers have recently developed an automatically cleansing plastic surface that can also clean bacteria on its own. At the same time this discovery can help in dealing with superbugs in hospitals and kitchens etc.

Harmful bacteria are responsible for thousands of deaths every year: when this study has been published in a journal called 'ACS Nano'. It has been told that new plastic material can be wrapped in door handles, railings and tripods. This material can also be applied at other places where there is a risk of bacteria gathering. At the same time, it has been told in old studies that harmful bacteria present on the surface and elsewhere are responsible for thousands of deaths every year. If this danger is not dealt with immediately, then the number of people who die every year till 2050 may be more than one crore.

The discovery is inspired by Lotus: Researchers say that the team, including researchers at McMaster University in Canada, have told that the new plastic material is inspired by lotus leaves. Lotus leaves clean the dirt automatically. At the same time, the new material has been prepared through a combination of sarfesh (surface) engineering and chemistry. At the same time, the researchers said that the new surface has been added with a subtle shrinkage, due to which it removes all the foreign molecules. It falls apart when a drop of water or blood falls on its surface, and the same happens with bacteria.
