The government is preparing for a major change in the recruitment process of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF - Central Armed Police Forces). It is being told that officers are selected for the All India Services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) through the Civil Services Examination to be taken by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Last year, the Central Government gave the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) the category of Organized Group A Services (OGAS). Only after this step, a proposal for change in the conduct of recruitment examination is being considered.
