The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will begin enrollment for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) today for individuals seeking admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE Advanced 2024 registration form will be available on the official IIT JEE website, jeeadv.ac.in. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders are eligible to register for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.

According to the schedule, the application process for JEE-qualified applicants starts today at 5 pm and ends on May 7 at 5 pm. This year, the JEE Advanced application fees have increased for all categories. SC, ST, PwD, and female applicants must pay Rs 1,600, while all other applicants must pay Rs 3,200. The JEE Advanced entrance exam will admit students to undergraduate bachelor's, integrated master's, and bachelor-master dual degree programs in engineering, science, and architecture at IITs in 2024.

The JEE Advanced exam, scheduled for May 26, will consist of two papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will each last three hours. Participation in both papers is required. Paper 1 will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Paper 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. PwD applicants with 40% impairment will be given an extra hour to complete the exam.  Exam Pattern Applicants can review the JEE Advanced 2024 exam pattern in the table below before taking the test. - Examination medium: English and Hindi - Number of papers: Two compulsory papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2 - Duration: 3 hours for each paper - Sections: Both papers include physics, chemistry, and mathematics - Number of questions: 54 (18 questions in each subject)
