Young Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz Garfia has lifted his maiden Miami Open (ATP Masters 1000) tennis tournament title with a stunning victory in the final here on Sunday. Alcaraz defeated sixth seed Casper Rudd of Norway 7-5, 6-4 in straight sets in the final played at the Hard Rock Stadium here on Sunday and also clinched his third Tour-level title.

In the 37-year history of the Miami Open, Alcaraz has become the youngest Miami male champion and the third-youngest champion overall. With this win, he can reach a career-best 11th position in the ATP rankings.  

Alcaraz has said after the match that I don't have the words to describe how I am feeling right now. It's very special to win your first Masters 1000 title here in Miami. I have an incredible team and family. I'm very happy with this win.
