Young Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz Garfia has lifted his maiden Miami Open (ATP Masters 1000) tennis tournament title with a stunning victory in the final here on Sunday. Alcaraz defeated sixth seed Casper Rudd of Norway 7-5, 6-4 in straight sets in the final played at the Hard Rock Stadium here on Sunday and also clinched his third Tour-level title.
In the 37-year history of the Miami Open, Alcaraz has become the youngest Miami male champion and the third-youngest champion overall. With this win, he can reach a career-best 11th position in the ATP rankings.
