Cars of Ministers collide on way to PM Modi's rally

Coimbatore: The cars of Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal and Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani collided near Tirupur. The ministers were going to attend an election rally in Dharapuram where they escaped unhurt after their cars collided. 

The ministers were traveling for an election rally that was addressed by PM Narendra Modi this afternoon. Under the impact of the collision, the windscreen and bumper of Mr. Dhanapal's car were damaged. According to police, Mr. Velumani's car rear bumper was also damaged. While Mr Dhanapal and Mr Velumani escaped without any hurting and left for the venue in separate vehicles.

TN Chief Minister EK Palaniswami and deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam were also attending the rally, organized to garner support for BJP for the April 6 assembly polls.
