Kochi: A case has been registered against more than 30 college students in Kerala for hoisting the flag of Pakistan on Thursday. In Kozhikode district, the Perambra Police has registered a case against students of the Muslim Student Front (MSF). The students are alleged to have waved the Pakistani flag at Perambra Silver College. This incident has come to light during the campaign for the student union election here.

 More than 30 students have been booked under sections 143, 147, 153. Further action will be taken after the identification of the students. During the preparations for the college union election, the flag of Pakistan was waved by students allegedly on Thursday. At present, a case has been registered against the students under sections 143, 147, 153 and 149 of IPC and investigation is going on in the case.

At the same time, students have claimed that this is the flag of MSF, which looks like the flag of Pakistan. The president of the college's governing body AK Tharuvayi said that the MSF flag was kept upside down, making it look like the national flag of Pakistan. He also said that the procession was organized on holiday and assured to investigate the matter on Monday.
