Lucknow: The Taliban has ruled Afghanistan and it has also started in India. On Tuesday, Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Barq supported the terror group Taliban saying that the Taliban had liberated their country. A case has now been registered against him for making such a statement.

According to reports, a case under serious sections has been registered against SP MP Dr. Burq and SP workers for supporting the Taliban. A case has been registered against them under sections 153 A, 124 A, and 295 A of the IPC. In fact, the SP MP compared the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan to that of British rule in India. He said that, when India was ruled by the British and we fought to remove them, so did the Taliban liberated their country. The Taliban did not allow powerful countries like Russia, the United States to stay in their country.

The BJP had asked SP MP Dr. Burq to publicly apologize for making such statements. The BJP had said that SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Burq had disrespected those who sacrificed everything for the country by comparing India's freedom fighters to Taliban militants. This reflects their mindset and the SP MP and should publicly apologize for these derogatory remarks.
