He requested everyone to follow social distancing and wear masks, and have made this request in view of the continuous increase in the cases of covid in 6 states of the country. These 6 states include Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. Corona cases in the country crossed the 2 lakh mark on Saturday, with an increase in Corona cases in these 6 states. According to the Health Ministry data, this is the first time since 19 January.

If we talk about Maharashtra, then there were 15,817 new cases of covid on Friday. Earlier, about 15 thousand cases were coming there every day. This is the first time in the last 162 days when more than 15 thousand cases have been seen there. At the same time, 1,780 new cases were reported in Kerala on Friday, with the total number of cases of Kovid there has been 1 lakh 87 thousand 443. A team of experts sent to assess the growing cases of covid in Maharashtra said that the growing cases of covid there could be the reason behind Gram Panchayat elections, wedding ceremonies, the opening of schools, crowded public vehicles.

According to the information received, the local administration is taking full precautions about covid, but due to the negligence of the people, there is no reduction in the cases of covid. In such a situation, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that if people do not follow the guidelines regarding Corona, then a complete lockdown will be imposed in the state. Already the lockdown has been imposed in some places in Maharashtra at present. Apart from this, the central government is also in constant touch with these states.
