LOS ANGELES: Legendary Australian actress Cate Blanchett was awarded the winner of Best Actress trophy at the 28th edition of the Critics' Choice Awards for her work in the psychological drama film 'Tar'.

"Congratulations to CateBlanchett, winner of the CriticsChoice Award for Best Actress", a tweet see fromdle of the 28th Critics' Choice Awards. 

The fictitious conductor and composer Lydia Tar's demise is shown in the movie "Tar." Nina Hoss, Noemie Merlant, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner, and Mark Strong make up the supporting cast.

At the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which were held last week, Blanchett had previously received the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama award.

Cate Blanchett made a stylish entrance on the red carpet in a taupe Max Mara ensemble, designer accessories, and pointed pumps. The actress from "Don't Look Up" wore a long-sleeve button-up that she French-tucked into a matching floor-length maxi skirt. With its torn hem and mermaid-like form, the skirt gave the ensemble a grunge look.
