Udaipur: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court has given a big order in the case of Hotel Laxmi Vilas Palace in Udaipur. The CBI court said that we have ordered the Udaipur district administration to take over the hotel because the cases go on long and the conspirators can misuse the hotel by dragging the case long.

In its order, the CBI court said that till the investigation is going on and the final decision is not reached, the district administration should take over the Laxmi Vilas Hotel and arrange to run the hotel through a competent central government undertaking and submit its report to the court every 3 months. The CBI court targeted the Indian government, saying that such a large government is looking after it, but one cannot run a hotel and thus selling them such a wonderful heritage to private people at a price.

The CBI court in its judgement wrote that CBI accused the then External Affairs Minister Arun Shourie, Md. Ashish Guha of Lazar India Limited, Kantilal Karam, Director of Bharat Hotel Limited, Jachainakharta Suri and Secretary Pradeep Baijal should be booked for criminal conspiracy and summoned by an arrest warrant and the entire investigation report should be produced before the CBI court within 1 month.
