Srinagar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Monday, took action on 2 FIRs registered with it and raided 13 places in Srinagar, Jammu, Gurugram and Noida. The action has been taken by the CBI at the locations of District Commissioner and District Magistrate of Kupwara, Baramulla, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Sopian, Rajouri, Doda, Pulwama.

According to the information, more than 2 lakh fake gun licenses were issued by the CBI under various District Commissioners conspiracy in Jammu and Kashmir in October last year. In the same case, today the CBI has raided the bases of the then eight officers. The CBI has found in its investigation that during 2012-16, the district collectors and collectors of several districts of Udhampur and Kupwara issued gun licenses in thousands.
