CBI recovers Rs 50 lakh in a raid at Karnataka Congress President DK Shivkumar's house

Bangalore: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting raids at the house of Karnataka Congress unit chief DK Shivakumar. CBI raids are also going on at the residence of his brother DK Suresh. Officials said 15 spots were being raided by at least 60 central agency officials. Let us tell you that Shivkumar is also called a troubleshooter in Congress.

The raid by the CBI began at 6 am at his home in Doddallahalli village in Kanakapura constituency, which Shivkumar represents in the state assembly. DK Suresh is an MP from Bengaluru Rural. One of the houses being raided is that of Iqbal Hussain, close to Shivkumar. The CBI has registered a case against the then minister of Karnataka government and others for acquiring disproportionate assets. Today 14 bases are being raided. Raids are on in one place in Karnataka, 9 in Delhi, one in Mumbai. The investigating agency has seized Rs 50 lakh from the residence of D Shivakumar and his MP brother.

Recently, DK Shivkumar said that he suspected that his phone was being tapped. He demanded an inquiry into the case. At the same time, the state Home Minister Vasavaraj Bommai had refuted Shivkumar's claims that the BJP government is a responsible government and it will not do such acts.
