Mumbai: CBI has moved the Bombay High Court in the case of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Filing a petition in the Bombay High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday alleged that the Maharashtra government is not cooperating or sharing documents in the corruption case against former state home minister Anil Deshmukh.

CBI, while approaching the Bombay High Court, said the Maharashtra government is not cooperating with the CBI team investigating the Anil Deshmukh case even after a clear order from the apex court. CBI, through an additional solicitor general, alleged in the court that instead of cooperating with ACP Mumbai, it was threatening the CBI officer investigating the case. The court has now taken up the matter seriously.

A bench of Justices SS Shinde and NJ Jamadar issued notices to the state government on Thursday. With this, the matter has been moved for hearing on August 11. Additional Solicitor General anil singh for the CBI said that his earlier statements of not seeking documents on transfer and posting from the Maharashtra government were only till the state's petition was decided.
