Kochi: The Kerala High Court delivered a historic verdict on Wednesday (August 4, 2021) widening the scope of legal limits in rape cases in the country. The court, while hearing a case, clarified that if the accused gets sexual satisfaction by tampering with any part of the woman, it will be treated as rape under IPC. The High Court defined rape as "any manipulation of a woman's body for her sexual satisfaction amounts to the sex entering her vagina.
