The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is approaching the final deadline for candidates to contest the answer key for its 2024 recruitment exams. The window for submitting objections will close at 11:59 PM on August 20, 2024. This applies to the exams held on August 3, 10, and 11 this year.

Candidates who believe there are errors in the provided answer key have until tomorrow to raise their concerns. The answer key was made available on August 17, with the portal for objections opening the same day. Exam-takers can view their OMR sheets and download the answer key from CBSE's official website at cbse.gov.in.

Objections must be submitted through the online portal only. Alternative methods such as email, postal mail, or in-person submissions will not be accepted. Each objection requires a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000 per question, payable via credit or debit card.

According to the notice dated August 17, if the Board acknowledges a mistake in the answer key based on expert review, the fee will be refunded. Refunds will be processed back to the credit or debit card used for payment, so candidates should ensure they use their own cards for transactions.

The recruitment exam, conducted by CBSE, was for filling 118 positions across various administrative levels, including Assistant Secretary roles and other Group A, B, and C posts. The recruitment process used OMR sheets for offline examination.

As noted in the official announcement, selected candidates will begin their tenure on probation, subject to the rules in effect. This probation period may be extended at the discretion of the authority. During probation, the services of a probationer can be terminated with 30 days' notice or a month's salary in lieu of notice.

For more details and to submit objections, candidates should visit the CBSE official website promptly.
