New Delhi: Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat on Friday said that the situation still remained tense near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in East Ladakh. He said that the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) is facing unforeseen consequences due to the strong response of Indian forces in Ladakh regarding its impudence. Rawat has said, "Our stand is clear that we will not accept any change in LAC."

CDS Rawat said that the situation on LAC in East Ladakh still remains tense. Rawat said that there could be no denying the possibility of skirmishes on the border and military action without provocation. Significantly, nearly 50,000 soldiers of India are standing in the mountainous heights to deal with any situation in eastern Ladakh. There has been no concrete result of several rounds of talks between the two countries in the past regarding this deadlock that has been going on for six months.

According to officials, the Chinese army has also deployed around 50,000 soldiers. India has been saying that it is the responsibility of China to remove the troops and reduce the deadlock. Rawat also said that relations between India and Pakistan have worsened due to the persistent proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir and the wicked rhetoric against India.
