JAMMU: In response to Pakistani rangers' unprovoked ceasefire breach at the International Border in the Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, The Boarder Security Force (BSF)   gave a befitting reply.

The unprovoked firing by Pakistani rangers on a BSF patrolling unit in the Arnia Sector received a proper response from the vigilant BSF Jammu men this morning, the officials said.

The Border Security Force said that there was no loss or injury to any of its personnel.

Following a renewed ceasefire deal between the Indian and Pakistani sides last year, there has been a comparatively calm on the borders. Even still, there have been a few attempts at infiltration that were unsuccessful and numerous instances of drones dropping weapons on terrorists.

On May 2, Pakistani Rangers broke the cease-fire by starting a firefight along the IB in the Ramgarh area of the Samba district. After the two nations' renewed agreement to preserve peace along the border was inked on February 25, it was Pakistan's first ceasefire breach since then.

The BSF shot and killed a Pakistani invader in March in J&K's Samba district after he disregarded numerous warnings from BSF officials and attempted to enter illegally from across the border in the Ramgarh sector.
