Indore, Madhya Pradesh - A four-day festivity  Ranjit Ashtami Festival is observed starting from January 1, with the highlight being the celebration of Ranjit Ashtami on January 4 at the Ranjeet Hanuman Temple. The event will commence with the customary Prabhat Pheri at 5 am, featuring bhajan groups and drawing in thousands of devotees.

However, in a departure from the norm, the use of DJ music has been prohibited during the Prabhat Pheri to uphold the sanctity of the event. Temple priest Deepesh Vyad revealed that following the Prabhat Pheri, a Maha Aarti will be conducted upon adorning the deity.

Ahead of the festivities, a team led by Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and MLA Malini Gaur inspected the Yatra route on Thursday, accompanied by key officials, including chief priest Pt Deepesh Vyas. They provided necessary directives and held a meeting at the temple premises with ADM Rai and SDM Parmar. Instructions were issued to various departments including the police, municipal corporation, MPEB, and the health department to ensure seamless execution.

Pt Deepesh Vyas highlighted ongoing preparations for the festival, mentioning the active participation of devotees in placing saffron flags along the procession route. This year, the entire celebration will honor Lord Ram in anticipation of the consecration ceremony slated for January.

In an exciting addition to the festivities, a colossal 40-feet-long model of the Ayodhya Ram Temple is under construction and will take center stage during the Prabhat Pheri. Moreover, 11k flags bearing Ram's name will be part of the yatra.

The festival itinerary includes flag worship on January 1, Deepotsav on January 2, and on January 3, the consecration and distribution of 11k Raksha Sutras among devotees, marking each day with fervor and religious significance.
