New Delhi: After the announcement of the withdrawal of three agricultural laws in Delhi's Ghazipur border, which was the center of the farmers' agitation, there was an atmosphere of celebration on Friday morning. However, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), which is leading the demonstration in Ghazipur, said the protest will not end until laws are repealed in Parliament. Hundreds of farmers were seen celebrating the "half-victory" they received after their year-long agitation and feeding each other sweets on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border.

Saurabh Upadhyay, a spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), said, "We had two major demands. All the three agricultural laws should be repealed and legal guarantees should be given to ensure minimum support price (MSP) for crops through the new law. Our agitation will continue until both demands are met''.

In his address to the nation on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, PM Narendra Modi said that three agricultural laws were for the benefit of farmers, but even after our best efforts, we could not convince a section of farmers. He said that the aim of the three agricultural laws was to strengthen the farmers, especially the small farmers, but we could not explain this to the farmers.
