Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Party (TRS) held a grand event at Indira Bhavan on Friday to mark the centenary celebrations of late PM PV Narasimha Rao. On this occasion, PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the former PM worked as a general worker in Warangal and became the Prime Minister of the country with his hard work. 

Uttam further said that "The credit for bringing the geo-version goes to PV. PV has been a Congress plaintiff from his birth to his death. PV was a veteran leader who brought the land version during the reign of CM of United Andhra Pradesh. He said a resolution was passed in United Andhra Pradesh to confer Bharat Ratna to PV. Credit goes to the late PM PV for bringing a respectable status to a country going through a financially difficult situation."

Uttam Kumar has said that the budget of 24 July 1991 has brought a big change in the financial situation of the country. There have been successes in many political, social and foreign policies during his reign. The event was attended by CLP leader Bhatti Vikramark, PV's brother Manohar Rao, PV Shata Jayanti Committee chief Geeta Reddy etc.
