New Delhi: Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that a large number of farmers from all over the country are coming out in support of the three agricultural laws. AHe appealed to the protesting farmer organizations to understand the sentiments of reforms through the three laws. Tomar expressed confidence that the protesting unions will focus on the interests of the farmers and help the government in reaching a solution through constructive dialogue.
Talking to the press after a meeting with a group supporting the laws, Tomar said that the government is committed to the farmers of the country and their interests. He further said, "We are meeting those farmers who are coming in support of the three laws. They are also continuing the dialogue with those who oppose the laws." Tomar also said, " A large number of farmers are coming in support of the laws. We are meeting them and their letters and calls are also coming. We welcome them and express their gratitude. "
The farmers are protesting against the laws brought by the Center on the borders of Delhi. Seven rounds of talks have been held between the central government and the farmers' representatives about this, but they have failed to put an end to the movement. The government has introduced these agricultural laws as three major reforms aimed at increasing farmers' income and improving their lives while demonstrating farmers claim that these three laws are going to benefit industrialists and are against MSP and mandi system.
