New Delhi: Political turmoil in the country has increased over the past few years, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is leaves no opportunity to attack PM Narendra Modi and his government even due to the corona threat. He has once again hit out at the Central Government over the rising prices of petrol and diesel. Rahul Gandhi shared an article in a Hindi newspaper on Twitter titled 'The government has earned more than income and corporate taxes from petrol and diesel'.

Based on this article, Rahul attacked the Modi government and wrote that "The Central Government has PhD in tax collection". In fact, according to an article shared by Rahul Gandhi on his Twitter handle, 'The Government of India has 4 from income tax. 69 lakh crore, while private companies have deposited corporate tax of Rs 4.57 lakh crore. On the other hand, more than these two tax citizens have paid Rs 5.25 lakh crore as excise duty and VAT on petrol and diesel. These figures are only from December 2020, which does not include the January to March quarter'.

Earlier on Friday, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted a dig at the Modi government saying that "This is the state of development of the Modi government that if the price of petrol and diesel does not go up someday, it becomes more big news". At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders are tweeting against the government day in and day out. Earlier, he had said, "The contry's GDP is crashing, unemployment is rising, fuel prices are skyrocketing. Rahul Gandhi further wrote how many more ways BJP will loot the country'.
