New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a meeting with health ministers of states and Union Territories on Friday (Friday) regarding the rising cases of corona in some parts of the world. Mandaviya made a statement in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday (December 22) taking suo motu cognizance of India's preparedness. The Health Minister has said that 'We are constantly monitoring the situation. There is no direct flight between China and India, but people come through other routes. He said the focus is on ensuring that no unknown variant of the virus enters India and at the same time there is no disruption in travel.'

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday said that the state government is fully prepared to deal with the situation of increase in corona cases. At the same time, the Punjab Health Department has asked the concerned officials to increase the number of corona tests done every day in the state to 10,000. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Tejashwi Yadav reviewed the Covid situation in the state along with department officials, doctors, and directors of medical colleges. During this, he told them that if the infection of the new variant of coronavirus spreads, then they should be prepared to deal with it.

Tejashwi said hospitals in the state are fully prepared and testing and vaccination work is going on on a war footing. Yadav also said that people should also take safety measures to prevent the spread of corona infection.
