New Delhi: The Central Information Commission has given a decision which is completely in favour of women. This decision has given women the right to know their husbands' salaries. Just for this, women have to file an RTI and the concerned department will have to give full salary-related details within 15 days.
According to the information received, the Central Information Commission said in a decision that now any woman can easily know her husband's salary or other sources of her income. For this, women have to use the right to information i.e. RTI. After this, the relevant department will have to give correct information in 15 days. It is noteworthy that the Central Information Commission has given this decision while hearing a petition.
A woman named Rahmat Bano from Jodhpur filed a petition. In this, she sought information from the IT department about the source of her husband's income. In response, the IT department said that the demand of third parties is wrong. After this, the Central Information Commission held a hearing and ruled that it would be mandatory to give the above information in 15 days on the RTI filed by the complainant.
