Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has demanded that actor Randeep Hooda, who made alleged indecent remarks against Mayawati, be sent to jail.

"The actor should booked under the SC-ST Act and teach him a lesson," he says. Not only that, Ramdas Athawale has also appealed to the film industry to ban the actor who has made undignified comments. In a statement last Saturday, he said, "The whole world is spitting on the undignified remarks made by actor Randeep Hooda on former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati and people are demanding severe punishment for Hooda".

At the same time, he also said, "Randeep Hooda is booked for the SC-ST Act. Under this, the actor needs to be sent to jail. Mayawati's humiliation like this will not be tolerated. The UN has also taken major action against Randeep Hooda and removed him from the post of Ambassador. The film industry should also ban a poor-minded person like Randeep Hooda. Randeep Hooda has insulted not only the Dalit community but also the entire women's society".
