New Delhi: Union Minister and National President of the Republican Party of India (RPI) Ramdas Athawale tested positive for corona. Yesterday, Ramdas Athawale welcomed actress Payal Ghosh in his party. It was only then that Ramdas Athawale complained of cough and body pain. Thereafter, he tested positive for corona.

It will now be seen whether Payal Ghosh will be quarantined after Union Minister Ramdas Athawale tested positive for corona. It may be noted that actress Payal Ghosh, who accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment, had joined RPI on Monday. The party had declared Payal as the vice president of the women's wing. Party chief Ramdas Athawale and other party members also attended the event.

In the meantime, Ramdas Athawale had said, "I had told Payal that RPI was the party of the constitution maker Babasaheb Ambedkar. It helps every section of the society, whether dalits, tribals, OBCs, villagers or slum dwellers. If you join the party, the RPI party will get a strong face."
