Rampachodavaram: Chief Executive Officer of Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) J Chandrasekhar Iyer on Wednesday met R&R colonies in Devipatnam and Gokavaram mandals of Rampa Agency in East Godavari district along with ITDA Project Officer Praveen Aditya, Deputy Collector Katta Simhachalam and other officials. inspected the works.

He received information from the officials about the progress of works related to R&R colonies in Rampa Agency. He also sought to know whether the displaced families have been compensated and how the grievances are redressed. ITDA PO Praveen Aditya explained the working of R&R colonies to the CEO in a detailed manner.

The CEO also directed the officers to address their grievances at the earliest and provide basic facilities in R&R colonies. He also assured that every beneficiary will get a rehabilitation and resettlement package and no one should be disappointed about the settlement of compensation. He directed the officers to complete the remaining pending works till their next visit. He made it clear that there should be no injustice to the Polavaram migrants.
