Monsoon has been active in Haryana. Normal rains have occurred in 15 cities in the state. 400 mm at Karnal, Ambala, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Faridabad. 10 cities received normal rain, 4 districts received above normal rain. Weather researchers say that on August 20, there may be heavy rains in some areas. Monsoon activity will decrease slightly on 21 August.

On Wednesday, there was heavy rain in many districts of Haryana. In the last 24 hours, an average of 7.3 mm of rain was recorded. This led to a 3 percent shortage of rain. Gurugram received the highest rainfall of 95 mm. Cars were drowned on roads and people were seen riding the boat.

Due to the rain, a squad of fire brigades arrived to drain the water stored on roads, which led to the extraction of water with the help of pumping sets. The fire brigade's pumping squad also had to struggle for hours to get the water drain from roads. Only after this, waterlogging could be overcome.

In spite of all the claims of drainage of rainwater in Gurugram, this is not the first time such a hellish situation has been seen in the city after the rainy season. Due to lack of proper arrangements for the drainage of rainwater, the administration has often faced problems in the rainy days to remove the water stored on the road.
