Chennai: Chandrayaan-1 director M. Annadurai has said that obstacles on the lunar surface are preventing the lander Vikram from receiving ISRO's signal. Talking to the media, Annadurai told that, 'We have found Vikram Lander on the surface of the moon, now we have to get in touch with it. The place where the lander has landed is not suited for soft landing. There may be some obstacles, which may prevent us from contacting the lander.

Along with this, he said, 'First Chandrayaan's orbiter sent the signals from the lander to get in touch, but in the current situation, it has to be seen whether he is able to catch the signal or not. There is always two-way communication between the orbiter and the lander, but we can try to have one-way communication. However, he has stated that the communication will not be for more than 5-10 minutes. Apart from this, he said, 'This is a difficult situation, but our scientists are fully capable of handling it'.

At the same time, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is continuing efforts to restore contact with Chandrayaan-2's 'lander' Vikram, but experts have said that time is running out and the possibility of restoration of contact is gradually decreasing. Has been Let us tell you that ISRO Chief K.K. Sivan said on Saturday that we will try to restore contact with the lander for 14 days. After finding out the location of the lander Vikram on the lunar surface with the cameras installed in Chandrayaan-2, he reiterated that efforts will be made to restore contact.
