Chandrayaan-2 was successfully launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on July 22. In a statement, ISRO said that Chandrayaan-2 entered its second orbit as it marched into orbit in the gravitational impact zone of the earth at around 1.08 pm on Thursday. In addition, a number of pictures are being shared on social media that are said to be the first photographs taken by India's Mission Chandrayaan-2.
