However, contrary to the routine, the channel airing the show has shared a tweet congratulating Shanmukh for becoming the new captain of the house. This did not go down well with a section of netizens who have been questioning the channel about not leaving a tweet congratulating Shanmukh alone but the other captains of the house. However, some fans are supporting Shanmukh and his performance in the captaincy task.
This is not the first time the channel has faced backlash on social media for Bigg Boss. The makers had released a special teaser on Shanmukh's birthday celebrations both inside and outside the house. But Shanmukh's birthday celebrations were however dropped from the main episode.
