Patna: During the Senate meeting at Veer Kunwar Singh University in Arrah, Bihar, on Saturday, a situation of chaos and tension unfolded as students staged a protest against the proceedings. The presence of Bihar Governor Vishwanath Arlekar added significance to the event, but it also attracted opposition from various student organizations.

The protest took a more intense turn when some leaders from the student organizations attempted to enter the university premises. In response to the escalating situation, the police, along with the university administration, tried to engage with the protesting students. However, their efforts were met with resistance, and the students continued to voice their opposition to the meeting.

As the standoff persisted, the police decided to use lathi charge as a means to control the situation. The lathi charge resulted in several students sustaining injuries, leading to a chaotic scene on the university campus. The clash between the students and the police further intensified the atmosphere, with dissenting voices expressing their concerns about the university administration.

A representative from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, one of the student organizations involved in the protest, conveyed that the students' voices were being stifled by the university administration. The student leader asserted that the opposition would persist until the administration addressed the concerns raised by the protesting students. The sentiment emphasized that acts perceived as atrocities against students would not be tolerated, reflecting the broader discontent within the student community.
