Badrinath: Due to Corona epidemic, many things are banned. This year, there is no enthusiasm of any kind at many pilgrimage sites. Meanwhile, at three o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, the block of debris in the Bhanerpani of Pipalkoti was blocked and the Badrinath highway could not open till Wednesday morning. The Badrinath highway has been closed for almost 19 hours. The JCB machines of the National Highway are beginning to open the way.

10 thousand e-passes issued for 13 days, and so far this year 6,224 passengers have reached Char Dham. The passengers are very upset due to the road being closed since yesterday. Their travel schedule has deteriorated. Travellers and locals are waiting for the way to open. The Badrinath highway was closed at around three o'clock on Tuesday afternoon after debris near Pipalkoti. Three JCBs of NH are engaged in debris removal, but due to continuous stone fall from the hill, they are facing more difficulty in opening the highway.

For the last two days, there was no obstruction of traffic on the highway due to no rain in the city, but despite the scorching sun on Tuesday, a huge amount of debris and boulder fell on road from Pipalkot towards Badrinath in Chadatok. There is a long queue of vehicles from both sides. If all goes well, then in the next two years, Collectorate and Vikas Bhawan will be connected with Rudraprayag-Gaurikund and Rishikesh-Badrinath highway. For this, a six km long bypass will be constructed, whose work has been started by the National Highway Construction Section, Lonivi.
