Jashpur: The country's second and first Blind Smart Class of the state has been started in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. The visually challenged children of the special school run by the Social Welfare Department in Gamharia, Jashpur, have started taking a new flight to get the modern education of Braille script after defeating the disabled.

An electronic device has been provided here to impart modern education of Braille script to visually impaired children. Children are learning to read and write Braille script very easily through this device. The excitement of learning their Braille script through this device can be gauged from the fact that children are sitting on their own for hours. A separate special room has been created for the Braille script's smart class, where 20 other electronic devices have been installed.

Jashpur is the first district in the state where the district administration has ensured the modern system of Braille script education under the head of the District Mineral Trust Fund (DMF) for the visually impaired children. Through this electronic device, children with visual impairments can easily learn Braille in any language. This device can be used both online and offline. This device is manifold hi-tech and simpler than the current method of learning Braille typewriters and Braille scripts.
