May17,2016:At Bijapur district,Chhattisgrah,CRPF jawan was killed after Naxals attacked a force camp. As per the official said, “the happening occurred at about 3:00 AM when a Maoist squad mounted sniper fire on a Central Reserve Police Force camp in the jungles of Rangareddy in Gangloor area of the district”.

They said, “In the ensuing gunbattle, Constable Satish Gaur (28) who was on sentry duty sustained bullet injuries and later succumbed”

Gaur sleeted from Andhra Pradesh and gone to the 85th battalion of the paramilitary organized in the area for anti-Naxal operations.

Official further added, “None of the other troops present in the camp were harmed”

Official on adding said that, the Maoist firing lasted few minutes later they fled into the forests.
