Raipur: The constable and his accomplice in Chhattisgarh police have been arrested by the Ghazipur police with banned pistols and hand grenades. The UP police, while entering Uttar Pradesh via Bara from Bihar, intercepted the two in the Bara border on the basis of a tip-off and then searched many objectionable items.

On recovering from them the handgun with the pistol, pistol, cartridge and brought to the police station and strictly questioned. Constantly also inquired regarding the movement and activities in the border area. The police registered a case against the two and produced them in court, from where the culprits were sent to jail. The UP Police has also asked the Chhattisgarh Police to provide information by sending information about the case.

The constable and his accomplice along with the SOG have been caught by the police on Monday night in the Gahmar police station area. Superintendent of Police Rural Anil Kumar Jha said that the team under the Gahmar police station was searching for vehicles when the police stopped two youths coming from Buxar near Dangal Veer Baba Mandir Bara. When they were searched, a single revolver 32 bore, three live cartridges 32 bore, one dead pistol 9 mm, two dead live cartridges, and one hand grenade was found from them, after which they were arrested.
