Diwali is around the corner and people have started buying lamps. Diwali looks incomplete without a clay lamp. Now today we are going to tell you about an earthen lamp that will keep burning for at least 24 hours. Yes, this lamp is made by a person from village Kondagaon, Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. The name of the person is Ashok Chakradhari who has created a lamp which will keep burning for at least 24 hours. Yes, Ashok says about this, 'He tried to make this lamp last year too after watching YouTube videos'.

He said, 'I always look for new ideas that can challenge my potter art. Before Diwali in 2019, I was looking at new designs of lamp. Then I found a lamp on which to deposit oil, so that the oil don't let earthen lamp extinguished. I found it very interesting and I decided to make it, after watching many videos, Ashok made 3 different parts. The first part was a lamp, the second a dome-like structure to hold oil, and the third a tube to hold the dome to hold oil deposits above the lamp. One end of the tube is open which is fitted in the lamp. This whole structure also has a handle, I had to try 5-6 times to make it, but within a week I got success. I have tested it by filling oil and lighting it.

Apart from this, Ashok also told that he did not know how much oil would be applied, but he knew that the lamp could burn 24 hours at a time. According to him, the wick of lamp will have to be changed from time to time. Anyway, making such a lamp is a big thing.
