Mumbai: Was China silent till the Gujarat and Himachal assembly elections, or was it asked to remain silent? Senior leader of Shiv Sena's Thackeray faction and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has asked this absurd question. At the same time, Raut has also expressed apprehension that the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi is hiding something regarding the clash between Chinese and Indian soldiers in the Yangtse area of Tawang on the Arunachal Pradesh border on December 9.

Raut said that after the Chinese army was expelled from Ladakh, now the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China tried to infiltrate Tawang. In such a situation, the politicians of the country should pay little attention to politics and be alert and careful on the issue of border security which is being raised from all three sides of the country, only then the country will be served properly. Raut said, ''This news of the skirmish between the soldiers of India and China came to light after 8 days. Is the Defense Minister of the country hiding something? Till the assembly elections were held in Gujarat and other states of the country, was China calm, or was China asked to remain calm? After Ladakh and Doklam, China has now entered Tawang. The politicians of the country should pay attention to the borders becoming unsafe instead of focusing on politics, investigative agencies, assembly, and opposition.''

Raut said, ''The celebration of winning the Gujarat elections had just begun and on the other side Chinese soldiers were infiltrating Tawang. That is, even in a serious matter like the security of our country, politics was celebrated and victory was celebrated. This is unfortunate. China did not enter Arunachal Pradesh for the first time. Even before this many times, China has claimed that place. Does the government not know this? China has been continuously showing Arunachal Pradesh on its map. In such a situation, extra precautions should have been taken, but it does not seem to have happened.'' Let us tell you that on December 9, 300 Chinese soldiers came to occupy the Indian post, but the Indian army repulsed them badly and protected their land.
