Patna: Amid speculation of the merger of the two factions of LJP, national LJP president and Union Minister Pashupati Paras has made a big statement. If LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan wants to join the BJP led-NDA, then he will first have to make a public apology for contesting the Bihar assembly elections alone in 2020. After that, there will be the talk of reconciliation in LJP.
On Monday, Union Minister Pashupati Paras openly discussed his nephew Chirag Paswan in the press conference. He said that if Chirag Paswan comes to NDA, he has no problem. But it won't be possible without his permission. That is, if Chirag has to be taken into the NDA, then the BJP will have to take permission from Pashupati Paras.
After the death of former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, there is speculation about the merger of the two factions of the split Lok Janshakti Party. The head of one group, Pashupati Paras, is currently in the NDA, while the head of the other group, Chirag Paswan, is openly supporting the BJP even though he is not in the NDA. Chirag Paswan's return to the NDA is possible before the Lok Sabha elections. If uncle Pashupati Paras and nephew Chirag Paswan reconcile, the two factions may merge. Pashupati Paras said that NDA is a big alliance. If any party joins it, the alliance will be stronger. Pashupati Paras denied the merger of the two factions of the LJP for the time being. But he also said that it is a matter of the future and it is too early to say anything on this. Anything can happen next. From his statement, it is being speculated that the path of reconciliation between Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan is open. Pashupati Paras, on the other hand, has put certain conditions for reconciliation with his nephew Chirag Paswan. He said that if Chirag Paswan wants reconciliation, he will first have to publicly apologise for contesting alone in the 2020 elections. Then, it will be considered. Paras also said that if Chirag returns to the NDA fold, it does not mean that he has forgiven Paswan or that the LJP will unite. It will depend on the circumstances.
