New Delhi: History-sheeter Salman Chishti, who announced the reward for beheading Nupur Sharma, has been detained by the Ajmer police. The accused, Salman Chishti, is a history-sheeter of the Dargah police station. Police have said that Salman is a history-sheeter criminal. He has around 15 cases of murder, assault, firing, and intimidation registered against him.

Earlier, alleged maulvi Salman Chishti was arrested on the complaint of his mother. He has been arrested by the Dargah police station on charges of breach of peace. Salman has also been accused of trying to evict his mother from the house by threatening her.

Reports say that in the viral video, Salman Chishti cried and said that he would have openly shot Nupur Sharma for insulting the prophet, Muhammad. He has announced that whoever brings Nupur Sharma's head will give him his house.
