Today, widespread protests have been called against the revised Citizenship Act 2019 across the country. In view of the Bharat Bandh of all Left parties as well as Muslim organizations including CPI and CPI, Section-144 has been imposed in many parts of the country. Special vigilance is being taken in the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Karnataka due to fears of large demonstrations. is. In Patna, members of All India Students Federation (AISF) stopped trains at Rajendra Nagar railway station. In Bihar's Darbhanga district, CPI-M workers have blocked the railway track at Lahirasarai railway station. In view of the bandh, strong security arrangements have been made in Karnataka. Section-144 has been implemented for three days in many cities of Karnataka including Bengaluru. Deputy Commissioner of Karnataka Sindhu B. Rupesh has ordered the imposition of section 144 in Dakshina Kannada district.

In the national capital Delhi, extensive preparations have been made to handle the protests. The entry and exit gates of 17 metro stations in Delhi have been closed. According to DMRC, trains will not stop at the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and university metro stations. The gates of Jamia Millia Islamia, Jasola Vihar, Shaheen Bagh and Munirka stations have also been closed. Metro trains will not stop at these stations also. According to the police, 12 people have been arrested in Seelampur in the case of sabotage and arson. Five have been arrested in Jaffarabad and four in Dayalpur nuisance case.
