New Delhi: Ram Janmabhoomi and Babri Masjid dispute are being heard daily in the Supreme Court. The constitutional bench headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi is hearing it. CJI Gogoi reiterated that 'Today is the 39th day of the hearing. Tomorrow is the 40th and final day of hearing the case on Wednesday.

Earlier on September 26, Chief Justice Gogoi had said that by October 18, the trial would have to be completed in any case. A five-member bench headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi had clarified that all parties should complete their arguments within the deadline. The court says that it will take four weeks for us to write the verdict, so the deadline cannot be extended. Law experts believe that both parties do not feel that the time for hearing can be extended, so the Supreme Court had to repeat its stand once again. The CJI has made it clear to both the parties that whatever has to be done will have to be done within this time frame.

As soon as the hearing began on 26 September, CJI Ranjan Gogoi submitted his response. He had said that the hearing, in this case, must be completed by October 18, because we have to give a decision in four weeks after that. If we could do this, it would be nothing short of a miracle. Let us know that CJI Gogoi is retiring on 17 November. In such a situation, he wants the matter to be decided during his tenure.
