Ahmedabad: Party workers led by Gopal Italia, head of the Gujrat unit of APP, entered the BJP's state unit headquarters on Monday to lodge a protest over the recent recruitment exam paper leak case, where his saffron party workers started getting agitated. Meanwhile, several people were injured. This information was given by the police. Gandhinagar police have arrested more than 20 AAP members including Italia following the incident at Gujarat BJP headquarters 'Kamalam.' Police started lathi-charge to control the situation during the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police MK Rana has said that before the police reached the spot and controlled the situation, violent quarrels started between BJP and AAP workers. It also caused head injuries to many people. He did not say how many people were injured. Meanwhile, another police officer said that AAP leader Isudan Garhvi, who was part of the protesting group, has been accused of abusing him under the influence of alcohol by some women activists of BJP, after which Garhvi was taken to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for medical examination.

Rana continued by saying that AAP workers broke the main gate and forcibly entered 'Kamalam,' which led to clashes between BJP and AAP members. Some people were injured in it. Then we rushed to the spot and arrested more than 20 AAP workers including women. No one was injured in our lathi charge. He has said that the decision to file FIR against Italia, Garhvi and others is going to be taken after a detailed inquiry.

In a video shared on the Facebook page of Gujarat 'AAP,' Italia, Garhvi and other party workers were seen forcibly entering the BJP headquarters near Gandhinagar over the paper leak incident. They were demanding the resignation of Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) Chairman Asit Vora over the paper leak case.
