Jammu and Kashmir: Cloudburst on Friday evening near the holy caves of Amarnath caves. 25 tents and 2 langars have been affected. At present, 5 people are suspected dead.

The Joint Police Control Room of Pahalgam has received information about the cloudburst at 5:30 pm on Friday evening. NRDF, Police and other rescue agencies have reached the spot. The injured are being shifted to a safe place by helicopter.

According to some local people, there were heavy rains and landslides near the Amarnath caves for the past few days, due to which the cloud might have burst. At present, the local administration is engaged in relief and rescue missions. Continuous efforts are being made to take the pilgrims to a safe place.
