Shimla: The rainy season is going on and in the meantime, the pleasant weather of rain has been covered in many states of the country. Meanwhile, in Himachal, for the second consecutive year, the monsoon season has been weak in the first month. In July this year, the entire state received 28 percent less cloud than normal. In the month of July, there have been 29 days of rainfall this year.
From 14 July it remained dry for two days. This year Himachal has recorded 202.9 mm of rainfall from 1 to 31 July. In the year 2019, there was 46% less rainfall than normal. According to the data released from the metrological center Shimla, this year only Bilaspur and Kullu cities received more than normal clouds in July. In Bilaspur, 25% rainfall has been received from Normal in Bilaspur and 12% more than normal in Kullu.
Chamba recorded 69 percent of normal rainfall, 14 in Hamirpur, 32 in Kangra, 19 in Kinnaur, 71 in Lahaul-Spiti, 34 in Mandi, 11 in Shimla, 45 in Sirmour, 5 in Solan and 8% in Una. So far, the highest rainfall in July 2013 was 143%. On July 4, Una recorded the highest temperature of 39.8 degrees. On the other hand, from June 1 to July 31, the state has received 30% less cloud than normal. On 22 June this year, the monsoon entered Himachal. The rainy season has been very weak this year.
