Amritsar: The Congress-ruled Captain Amarinder Singh government of Punjab, which has brought its four bills against central agricultural laws, will stage a sit-in at Delhi's Rajghat on Wednesday along with its ministers and all legislators. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, his ministers, Congress MPs and MLAs were supposed to meet President Ram Nath Kovind on November 4 to get the approval of the Agriculture Bills of the state, but the Punjab government was furious as the President did not give time.

According to a senior official of the Chief Minister's Office, earlier Rashtrapati Bhavan had given time to meet on November 4, but the officials have canceled the meeting, saying that the President had not confirmed the time for November 2 to November 4. The CMO wrote the first letter to the President on 21 October and the second letter to the officers of Rashtrapati Bhavan on 29 October.

In response to which the CMO was told that the President can give time for the meeting on 2 or 4 November, then the Punjab CMO demanded any time for 4 November which was rejected on the N occasion. However, Section 144 is applicable in Delhi due to corona epidemic. Because of which, on Wednesday, from the Punjab Bhavan, they will leave for Raj Bhavan from 10.30 am to sit in MLA 4-4 detachment.
