After this violent demonstration in the national capital, CM Kejriwal tweeted that, 'I appeal to all Delhiites to maintain peace. Violence of any kind cannot be tolerated in a civilized society. Nothing will be achieved by violence. Have to say your words in peace.' These protesters demand that the new Citizenship Amendment Act be withdrawn, glass of several vehicles broken, some policemen and protesters injured in the stone-pelting.

Police fired tear gas shells to control the agitated crowd, due to the protest, the road from Seelampur to Jaffrabad was closed, although now the situation is under control, the police said that the miscreants were removed from the spot, the Seelampur station of the Delhi Metro has also been restored.
